Tributes to the great Hindi film music director, Ghulam Mohammed, on his death anniversary today.

Ghulam Mohammed was an immensely talented genius music composer, who is most remembered for his work in Hindi musical hit films like, Dil-E-Nadaan (1953), Mirza Ghalib (1954), Shama (1961) and Pakeezah (1972).

He received National Film Award for Best Music Direction for his film Mirza Ghalib (1954). His last film, ‘Pakeezah’ was held up for many years, and was released after his death. His score for ‘Pakeezah’ is still considered one of the all time great music scores in Indian Cinema.

Ghulam Mohammed will be remembered forever for his immortal melodies “Zindagi dene waale sun”, ‘Dil-e-nadaan tujhe hua kya hai”, “Chalo dildaar chalo”, “Inhi logon ne”, “Chalte chalte” and many more melodies.
