Tributes to the great Hindi film music director C Ramchandra on his 101st death anniversary today.

C Ramchandra was one of those rare composers of Hindi cinema who gave such immortal tunes to the country that remains to be unforgettable even today. His “Aye Mere Watan Ke Logon, Zara Aankh Mein Bhar Lo Paani” is nothing less than another national anthem for the nation.

He had revolutionized Hindi film music by bringing in western influence in an era of sweet and sober music. C Ramchandra created a stir with that breezy number popular till today: “Aana Meri Jaan Meri Jaan, Sunday Ke Sunday”.

Be it the “Eena Meena Deeka”, “Shola Jo Bhadke Dil Mera Dhadke” or the “Yeh Zindagi Usi Ki Hai” “Gaa Rahi Hai Zindagi”, he has gifted the Hindi cine music world with so many unique, melodious and tuneful scores.
