Today is the 96th birth anniversary of Mukesh — the Man with the Golden Voice, who rules our hearts with his magical songs. The legendary singer gave his golden voice to a number of songs in Hindi cinema from the 40’s to the 70's.

A singer of great depth and passion, Mukesh was undoubtedly the master of melancholy. Whether it was love or heartbreak or betrayal, Mukesh’s mellifluous voice enchanted the listeners. No wonder he was known as ‘the man with the golden voice’.

Generations after generations, Mukesh’s voice inspired musicians and singers, with an unending list of songs that made their permanent abode in our hearts.
