One of the oldest stars, Daisy Irani was a popular Bollywood child artist in the 50s and 60s. She generally played the role of a little boy with curly hair, along with her younger sister Honey Irani. As the innocent child in Raj Kapoor’s ‘Jaagte Raho’, or the hopeful angel in ‘Naya Daur’, Daisy Irani was the apple of everyone’s eye. Some of her most remembered movies include Jagte Raho, Naya Daur, Hum Panchi Ek Dal Ke and Musafir.
Age failed to dull her naughty sheen as she continued to charm audiences on television, popularly in ‘Dekh Bhai Dekh’. Her appearance as Boman Irani’s feisty mother in ‘Shireen aur Farhad Ki to Nikal Padi’ brought back memories for the old-timers.
