27 Years of Judaai (28/02/1997). “Judaai” is directed by Raj Kanwar. The screenplay was crafted by Prakash Raj, S.V. Krishna Reddy, and Jainendra Jain. This movie features a star-studded cast, including Sridevi, Anil Kapoor, Urmila Matondkar, Kader Khan, Farida Jalal, Johnny Lever, Paresh Rawal, Upasana Singh, and Saeed Jaffrey. Poonam Dhillon also makes a special appearance in the film. The duo Nadeem-Shravan composed the album, and Sameer penned the lyrics. The story of “Judaai” is inspired by the 1994 Telugu movie “Shubhalagnam”, and it was so popular that it was later turned into a TV series named “Main Lakshmi Tere Aangan Ki”. This film is notable for being Sridevi’s last appearance on the big screen before she took a long break from acting, lasting 15 years, after a successful career spanning three decades.
